In the Gent2020 trajectory, we continuously pass the baton. After ‘the 30 of 2030’ and the establishment of the non-profit organization, a new call was launched in 2023. This time, the Ghent Arts Council sought artistic profiles to outline the framework for a cultural program. Specifically, they looked for artistic profiles combining the skills of a programmer, writer, troubadour, city-maker, etc., with experience in participatory art practice and theory, both nationally and/or internationally.

For drafting the three artistic lines and the foundation of the artistic program, they were inspired by the first Doers and Rethinkers Festival at the end of 2023 and organized the Gathering Week.
